GTP serves the extended government industry. For those that live and work in the public sector, it’s understand that each sector of the government industry is an entity on to itself with cultures, processes, and legislation that is similar yet noticeably different from other levels or extensions of government.

While all part of the government “family”, all three levels of traditional government; federal, state/provincial, and county/local/municipal have their own challenges and rhythms. Equally, those organizations that are directly or indirectly related to government but don’t fit under the traditional definition inevitably have their own culture they have developed.

GTP is acutely aware of the distinctions between these family members and chooses not to try and serve all of them but instead concentrate on those where we can bring best value. These include:

1. Federal public sector

If it is possible for one jurisdiction of the public sector to be more encumbered – with stakeholders or with regulations – it tends to be the federal sector. GTP is at home in this environment with proven approached to moving even the most complicated agendas forward.

2. Provincial/state public sector

With a focus on a number of high profile areas including health, energy and infrastructure, the provincial/state jurisdiction requires a balanced approach that draws upon lessons from other like-minded governments as well as particular elements from the private and not-for-profit sector.

3. Extended public sector

The extended public sector, which includes areas such as utilities, broadcasting and postal, have distinct characteristics that need to be understood before partners come through your door. Our success in this area is attributed to our homework and our familiarity with your environment before we sit down with you.
